Grouping into batches

Batching consists of grouping together a defined number of products before they are passed to an overwrapper, cartoner or case packing solution. This method guarantees structured, regular batching that is perfectly suited to industrial production rates.

The Emballage Technologies Group offers robust and flexible batch collation solutions capable of handling a wide variety of products (trays, bottles, pots, pouches, etc.) and formats. Products are counted, oriented and collated in a specific configuration (e.g. 3×2, 4×1, etc.), then transferred in batches to the next stage of the process. Several infeed solutions are used to group products into batches: pick & place, buffer infeed and robot infeed.

This type of grouping standardises packaging, reduces manual handling and ensures a continuous, controlled flow, even at high speeds. Thanks to their modular design, our batch collation systems can be easily integrated into existing lines, while offering quick and easy adjustments for format changes.
