Elevating conveyor: ideal for multi-level transport
Complementary to straight and curved conveyors, the lift conveyor enables your products to be transported vertically. So if you need to link two machines, one of which is much lower than the other, the lift conveyor is the ideal solution. You can also use an elevating conveyor to link two pieces of equipment located on different floors.
Pactisoud's lift conveyors are designed to meet the needs of the food, pharmaceutical and cosmetics industries, as well as any other sector of activity. They can be used to transport bare products, as well as cartons, parcels and pallets.
How lift conveyors work
Operation is based on a design adapted to enable products to remain stable on an upward or downward slope:
- Tilted chassis: the structure is designed to withstand an angle of inclination (generally between 10° and 45°, but can go up to 90° for certain specific models).
- Special conveyor belt: a belt with reliefs (chevrons, spikes or pallets) or buckets to prevent products from slipping or falling.
- Motorised system: a motor drives the belt or buckets, ensuring smooth, controlled movement at the right speed.
- Side guides: keep products in place throughout transport, minimising the risk of them falling.
- Entry and exit points: often equipped with feed hoppers and controlled chutes for efficient product transfer.
The lift conveyor can operate continuously or be synchronised with other equipment to adapt to different speeds.
